This week I attended the first WSJD Live conference in Laguna Beach, and I've never been around that many billionaires in my life. I covered Hugo Barra calling iPhone 6 "the most beautiful smartphone ever built," Google's ambitious effort to track diseases using nanotechnology, and the strange case of Whisper, The Guardian, and whether the anonymish sharing app can really track you in the way the newspaper alleged. But the real fun was in the liveblogs.
OK so basically Tim Cook just prophesied an incredibly terrifying event and we don't know when it's going to happen.
And Steve Ballmer:
His interviewer, Monica Langley, immediately congratulates him for becoming a "small business owner." "ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY EMPLOYEES," he bellows, 100 times louder than any previous speaker at this conference.
A great time was had by all.
